Bridal showers are quite common in the United States, Canada, Australia and they are becoming more and more popular around Latin America. It is a gift-giving party held in the honor of a bride-to-be in anticipation of her wedding. The custom has been around for over 100 years now. Typically, men are not allowed at bridal shower parties. Who hosts the bridal shower? A bridal shower is generally hosted by one or more of the closest friends of the bride-to-be. Sometimes, it is also hosted by one or more of the bridesmaids . As the custom involves giving of gifts to the bride, the mother, sisters or other close members of the bride’s family do not host bridal showers.
